It is a place to escape the cares of the day and spend some quiet time alone or with family and friends. No matter who will be using your swimming pool and/or hot tub, you want to be sure that it is installed correctly, especially the electrical wiring. We obtain the required permits so you are assured that it meets current electrical safety standards. You can enjoy your swimming pool and/or hot tub with the knowledge and peace of mind that you and your loved ones are safe from electrical hazards.

Light Fixter Installation:
Lighting is illumination that can be natural or artificial, for use in general applications and for specific areas for greater visibility, ambiance, or mood. Lighting can make a huge difference on the appeal or functions of a room because light fixtures are very critical to a home's decor.
Washer, Dryer, or Range Wiring and Installation:
The National Electrical Code (NEC) states, for new installation or renovation, the electrical receptacle for a washer needs to be a 20 amp receptacle. If it is within 6 feet of a sink, the receptacle needs to be a ground fault circuit interrupter (GFCI) and the dryer needs to be a 4 prong receptacle. A GFCI receptacle "trips," meaning the electricity to the receptacle shuts off when there is an overload or problem with the circuit or appliance. All new dryers need to have a 4 prong cord, which needs a 4 prong receptacle. The 4 prong receptacle has its own ground, unlike a 3 prong that only has a neutral.

Security and Landscape Lighting:
Security lighting helps light up those dark spots around your home. Security lighting can play an important part in security, deterring intruders whether the property is occupied or not. Low levels of illumination can be programmed to operate at night in certain rooms or hallways. When the house is vacated lighting levels can be selected that copy normal usage. This can be by time clock or by selecting a vacation mode. Dimmed or selectively switched levels of illumination will save energy and is more effective than leaving lighting on or using simple plug in timers. Landscape lighting highlights the walkways, gardens, and home at night for both beauty and safety purposes. What better way to add curb appeal to your home.

Update Service or Service Change:
Outdated panels may not give you enough power or old fuses require a service change out. We can update services in 100 amp, 200 amp, and 400 amp sizes.

Sub Panel:
A sub panel is separate from your main panel and may be used because there is not enough space in the existing main electrical panel. Not all homes have a sub panel. Sub panels are great for garages (attached or detached), workshops, etc. Click on this provided link for some information on Sustainable Solutions. www.butlersupply.com/energy-solutions.shtml

Flat Panel Television Installation:
Flat panel Televisions offer some of the best pictures available plus a sleek design that looks great in almost any decor.

Mounting your flat screen televison on a wall rather than setting it on a stand in the middle of your living room can free up space in your home, allowing for more comfortable living. In some homes there is a constant debate about how to position the furniture in the family room around the fireplace or the television. One way to make everyone happy is by having your television professionally hung on the wall. A brand new flat screen television deserves center stage. Let us give it a prominent display by hanging it front and center on the main wall in the living room. We will determine the correct wall mounting bracket, find wall studs, perform necessary carpentry, and install the necessary wires into the wall so that they are out of sight.

Outlet Addition:
Even a relatively newer home can often use an electrical update, more outlets to meet family needs, new lighting and light switches for ambiance and energy efficiency, and accommodations for new appliances, all add value to your family living.

Ceiling Fan, Attic Fan, Exhaust Fan Installation:
Ceiling, attic and exhaust fans are devices used to circulate air in a room, which in turn can help save you money on heating and cooling your home. A common misunderstanding among homeowners is that ceiling fans actually reduce the temperature in a room and allow lower air conditioning settings as a way to save on electricity costs. In reality, in the summer a ceiling fan with blades rotating counter clockwise creates what is called a wind chill effect by evaporating moisture on our skin. On a hot and humid summer day, this wind chill effect can make the room feel at least seven degrees cooler so that you can avoid running the air conditioning even when the actual room temperature is in the mid eighties. In the winter months the room can actually be made warmer by rotating the ceiling fan blades clockwise and forcing warm air from the ceiling down into the living area. This warmer air allows you to adjust your thermostat so that the heating system runs less, saving money on heating costs.

Smoke Detector:
Hard wired smoke detectors operate on your household electrical current. They can be interconnected so that every alarm sounds regardless of the fire location. This is an advantage in early warning, because it gives occupants extra time to escape if they are in one part of the home and a fire breaks out in another part. Alarms that are hard wired should have battery backups in case of a power outage, and should be installed by a qualified electrician.

Generator Installation:
In the event your home loses power from the utility company, generators are supplemental power producers that will provide electrical power to many of the homes needs. Generators not installed properly can not only be dangerous to the homeowner, but to the utility workers as well. Believe it or not, you can back feed from your home to the utility company overhead powerlines which could injur or kill line workers thus giving you the liability risk.

Dimmer Switch:
A dimmer switch is a device in the electrical circuit that is used for varying the brightness of lamps in a lighting installation. Dimming controls are ideal for any number of rooms because they allow you to change design the lighting to suit each mood and activity. When dimming a lamp the energy saved is as high as 98% of the proportion of unused energy.

Boatdock Electrical and Lighting:
Electrical
Is your boat dock safe? We are all well aware that electricity and water do not mix so be sure your electrical service is safe and up to code.
Lighting
What’s a boat dock without lighting? Dangerous and accident-prone. Lighting serves a very basic and necessary purpose to boat docks. Lighting can guide in boats, illuminate the water by lighting the edges of your dock, and illuminate a safe pathway off of the dock. There are a few important things to consider when choosing boat dock lighting. Let the following tips serve as your guide and checklist.
•Know what kind of lights to choose from. There are many different kinds of lighting you can have installed for your boat dock. Electrical-powered lights have been the norm and the most dependable. You have many choices. Choose from accent lights, fish lights, floodlights, hanging lights, pathway lights, underwater lights, guide lights, dusk to dawn lights, and wharf pole lights.
•Consider based on your dock’s purpose. Is your dock located on private property and is exclusive, or is it used by and accessible to the general public? As the owner of a small, private and exclusive dock, you can afford to choose lights that not only serve their practical purpose, but also double as a beautifying, ornamental element in your dock. This is especially useful when you’re the kind who hosts parties and gatherings, and welcomes visitors often. Large, government and public docks must stick to their original purpose—to serve as guides for boats to prevent accidents. Therefore, more practical and long-lasting lighting should be the priority. •Consider alternative kinds of lighting. Solar-powered, transom lights, and fiber-optics are other options you can choose from. Transom lights work by using either halogen or LED technology (light emitting diodes). Fiber-optics makes use of a side-emitting optic cable that can provide enough light along the whole cable line. Solar-powered lighting is a practical and wise choice because it’s economical, energy efficient and environment friendly all at the same time. They’re very ideal for outdoor lighting use. As long as the sun is still up, the solar cells soak in the energy, and come sunset, the lights automatically turn on. They will also turn off automatically during sunrise. Let a licensed electrician at Logue Electric Inc. help you in choose and safely install the lighting you desire to enhance your dock.

Solar Power:
Solar panels can harness the sun's energy and convert it to energy to provide power to homes and businesses. As companies continue to seek alternative sources of energy and for ways to preserve the environment, solar energy has become an even more viable option.
Expense
Initial solar electricity equipment costs may seem like a fortune, but there are instant and long-term solar electricity benefits to consider. Many states offer tax breaks for homes and businesses that install solar panels. This can cut a bulk out of the cost. Also, if solar panels process extra power, that power can get sent out to the power grid, and the electricity company will actually pay you for providing it.
Maintenance
After the installation of solar electricity, there is little to no maintenance that needs to be done to the panels. They are usually positioned on a rooftop, so they do not take up any part of your yard, home, or business. A typical solar panel installation will last for at least 30 years before it needs to be replaced.
Extra Lighting
Even if you do not convert your home to complete solar electricity, small solar panels can help cut costs and light up your home. Garden lights, Christmas lights, fountains and other outdoor equipment can now be purchased with built-in solar panels. This saves the fuss of dealing with extension cords and saves money on the electricity.
Advantage
One of the main advantages of solar electricity is that it is powered by a renewable fuel source, the sun. The sun will provide power for years to come, and other sources like coal and uranium will eventually run out. When positioned at the right angle, solar panels can use UV rays as long as the sun is shining.
Consideration
Some think that solar electricity is not available at night or during bad weather. This is not the case because many solar electricity systems come with back up battery storage for those situations. The batteries hold enough electricity to power a home for a week or more with no sunlight. Systems can also be connected to a power grid in case extra power is needed.
